As CTTIC 2026 returns to Regina, the birthplace of ATIS, we invite language professionals, educators, researchers, students, and industry leaders to help cultivate a vibrant and engaging conference program.

Whether you're nurturing a fresh idea, showcasing a successful project, or sharing lessons learned from the field, we encourage you to submit a proposal and add your voice to the conversation.

🌿 What We're Looking For

We're seeking presentations, workshops, panels, and posters that will inspire discussion, spark new ideas, and help our profession continue to flourish.

Topics may include:

• Translation and interpretation practice
• Terminology and terminology management
• Artificial intelligence and language technologies
• Community, legal, healthcare, and conference interpreting
• Language policy and advocacy
• Training, mentorship, and professional development
• Indigenous and heritage languages
• Entrepreneurship and business practices
• Accessibility and multilingual communication
• Research and innovation in language services

Don't worry if your topic doesn't fit neatly into one of these garden beds—if it's relevant to language professionals, we'd love to hear about it.

🌼 Abstract Guidelines

Please submit:

• A title (maximum 15 words)
• An abstract of 250–500 words
• A brief presenter biography (up to 100 words)
• Your preferred presentation format:
• Spark talk (10 min or less)
• Presentation (20–30 minutes)
• Workshop (60–90 minutes)
• Panel Discussion
• Poster Presentation

Your abstract should tell us:

• What idea you're planting
• Why it matters to conference attendees
• What participants can expect to learn
• How your presentation will help the profession grow

🌻 What Makes a Strong Submission?

Our review committee will be looking for proposals that are:

• Relevant and timely
• Informative and engaging
• Well-organized and clearly presented
• Practical, innovative, or thought-provoking
• Likely to generate discussion and exchange of ideas

We welcome both seasoned presenters and first-time contributors. Some of the best ideas start as small seeds.

🌳 A Note on AI

AI is certainly growing in our professional garden, and it's welcome to help you prepare your abstract. However, we're most interested in your insights, experiences, expertise, and perspectives. After all, the conference is about people, not just prompts.
